I was going to name this post, “its been awhile” but i dont want to quote staind.  Heres a new painting and a drawing.

somehow by submitting a terrible drawing to urban outfitters I have been chosen to do a window installation for their window in west philly.  I won’t be installing it untill april 20th but then its up for 2 months.  I’m pretty excited.  If anyone has old chairs or stupid electronics they don’t want please pass them my way.

I’m going to have 3 pieces in a show on Feb 13 on south street.  The show is at Shouk lounge at 9pm.  All work will be for sale.

in an attempt to get a job, I have moved to another website that is more like a portfolio.  I’ll still update this one from time to time but I needed something more organized to send to places.

I did this for school, but I was happy with it.  It was good to get away from illustrator stuff.  Doing things by hand is more fun.

I’m doing a new painting, and have been filming it since the beginning, I think ill make a time lapse of it.  Should be kinda cool.

finally stretched and hung it

I felt like I couldn’t move on from this piece until it was absolutely finished.  I’m relieved.

I completed 2 large scale abstract pieces.  I had a lot of fun with these and felt very relaxed while i did them.  The painting just sort of grows and battles itself.  I just have to put the paint down.

I’m currently working on a few large scale abstract pieces.  I’m growing tired of being a slave to subject matter and have been experimenting with color and composition.
